Pavement Drop off

Purpose:
"Pavement Drop Off" sign indicates that there is a difference in elevation between two surfaces of the roadway. Examples of this are when the shoulder is lower than the travel lane, elevation differences between or within paved lanes and shoulders, or that the roadside area is lower than the paved shoulder.
